Researchers examined different types of VR applications, including immersive relaxation systems and therapy approaches based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). There are two significant benefits that patients with depression can get from VR therapy, and they include a decrease in their symptoms and an improvement in their emotional well-being.
1. VR-Based Mindfulness and Relaxation TrainingStudies have shown that one of the initial applications of VR therapy in the management of depression is its usage in mindful exercises and relaxation sessions. A paper published in the
